Teltow Talk – Discourse on values as a contribution to promoting democracy

    Teltow Talk was a multilingual discussion group for men in two shared accommodation centers in Teltow, Brandenburg. The main aim of project was to create a space for dialogue about everyday concerns and needs, with a particular focus on questions of identity, masculinity, participation, human rights and non-violent communication.

    The results of the discussions were summarized and shared with the management of the accommodation centers and the relevant state actors and NGOs in order to address the needs and issues of the participants.

    Teltow Talk was one of several projects initiated and financed from integration funds provided by the district of Potsdam-Mittelmark and various social organisations in the region. It is coordinated by MenschensKinder Teltow – Eigenbetrieb der Stadt Teltow, with the aim of promoting encounters and intercultural exchange between refugees and the host society in the long term.
